Architecture has always fascinated me. I’m lucky enough to live in one of England’s most architecturally rich cities, Cambridge. The iconic historic university buildings, the cobbled streets
I like to take photos, although I’m not a professional photographer. After taking a course about the essentials of urban scene drawing, I thought it might be a fun project to choose some “bad” photos from my gallery and turn them into urban sketches.
I chose this class mainly because I was curious about how the teacher incorporates figures in his drawings. Taking this class, I realised that it’s not that scary, and including some human figures in a sketch tells a story and adds more energy and life to the drawing.
This was a delightful class from the start until the end. It took me a bit more time, like 2-3 weeks, to complete this class. Not because of its length but because I gave myself more time to observe my surroundings and enjoy drawing them.
Lovely to read about your findings and to see your lovely results 🤗
