Each spring has its own story. It’s a new beginning with freshness and brightness, which feels so good after a dull and wet winter. Creative energy is starting to flow again as the vibrant, yet gentle colours appear in nature. It’s the perfect time for some floral studies to put me in the mood.
I vividly remember those times when it was snowing in abundance during my childhood. The moments we spent outside as children sledding, building a snowman, having a snowball fight, or just simply enjoying this magical time of the year.
This autumn was about exploring. The enchanting hues and textures of the season reinvigorated my curiosity. It was time to slow down, observe, feel inspired, have fun and spend more time in nature. I gave myself time to create and try out new art mediums, tools and techniques.
To celebrate the magic of spring and floral beauty, a group of top teachers on Skillshare teamed up to run this year’s #bringspring challenge. This was my first time joining this challenge, and I can confirm that it was the best decision I could make.
One of the things that fascinate me in this painting journey is the colours. Working with them can be stressful and overwhelming, but they can be a joy if used correctly. There is no shortcut to finding the colour palettes and combinations that work. Exploring them requires a lot of time and patience. I gave myself time to experiment and play with my palette’s colours.
This is a comprehensive course about watercolour, it took me 2 months to finish it. It’s a well-packed class recommended for enthusiastic beginners or experienced artists who wish to step outside their comfort zone. It’s built up gradually, which helped me understand and learn many things about watercolour, drawing, and painting.
When Robert published this course, it was no question that I would join this challenge. I just finished one of his other classes, and I wanted to start another one. Although this class aimed to be a daily challenge, I did it differently.
